Hohenecker Rechtsanwalt

When it matters, persistence makes the difference.

A difficult starting position is no reason for me to give up on a case too early. I look closely and make realistic use of every legal option.

You should know where you stand.

For me, good legal advice means speaking openly about opportunities and risks. I explain clearly what options exist, what makes sense and where the limits are.

  • An open assessment of chances and risks

Sometimes a second look pays off.

What seems hopeless at first glance may not be after careful review.

Not every case starts with a clear solution. Some begin with a rejected claim, a deadlocked dispute or the feeling that nothing more can be done. That is exactly when it matters to examine the facts carefully and find the right legal starting points.

Cases in the public eye.

Some cases raise questions of interest beyond the individual matter. A selection of reports on cases in which I acted, each linked to the original source.

  1. School law2026

Placement exam for a 13-year-old pupil

I represented the family of a 13-year-old pupil in proceedings about his return to the public school system and admission to an age-appropriate placement exam. He was later able to take the exam and passed it.

  2. Employment law2025–2026

Monika Ring: dispute over summary dismissal

I represented Monika Ring in employment proceedings about her summary dismissal as a primary school teacher. In March 2026 the Higher Regional Court of Linz found that her conduct did not justify summary dismissal; ordinary termination, however, was considered permissible.

  3. Administrative law2023

    Representing climate activists

I represented numerous climate activists in administrative proceedings related to demonstrations, in particular in appeals against administrative fines and charged police costs.

  4. Immigration law & fundamental rights2023

Anja Windl: initial phase of the BFA proceedings

In April 2023 I represented the German climate activist Anja Windl in the initial phase of the proceedings before the Federal Office for Immigration and Asylum (BFA), which examined a measure to end her residence. The focus was on EU residence rights and freedom of expression and assembly.

The linked reports were published in German by the respective media. Every case is different; past results are no promise for future ones.

Legal policy engagement

I acted as authorised representative for three Austrian citizens' initiatives (Volksbegehren). All three gathered more than 100,000 valid signatures and were debated in the National Council.

Clarity, also about costs.

What is legally possible does not always make economic sense. That is why I always keep effort, costs and practical consequences in view.

A legal question should not remain unresolved just because of uncertainty about costs. That is why I discuss with you as early as possible which approach makes legal and economic sense and what effort to expect.

Your questions, looked up.
